Job Description

• Technical Drawings : Create precise drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
• Blueprint Development : Prepare and modify architectural, structural, mechanical, or electrical blueprints for construction or manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and make necessary adjustments to designs.
• Quality Control : Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Revisions and Updates : Modify existing drawings to reflect changes in project scope or design and maintain an organized archive of all project documents.
• Specifications Documentation : Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and ensure that all designs meet industry standards.
• Site Visits : Occasionally conduct site visits to gather information and assess project needs, ensuring that designs are feasible and practical.
• Problem Solving : Identify potential design issues and propose solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in drafting, design technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret technical documents.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in specific industries (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical).
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
