Key Responsibilities
• Create Technical Drawings: Produce detailed drawings using AUTO CAD software based on sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by architects and engineers.
• Well-versed on Google Sketch-up or any software to create 3D Models.
• Drafting and Detailing: Prepare architectural and structural drawings, including site plans, elevations, sections, and isometric details, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Able to read, understand, interpret well a civil or structural drawing and even MEP drawing or sketch.
• Collaboration: Work closely and interact with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements on technical discussion and incorporate their feedback into design drawings.
• Material Specifications: Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new construction projects or renovations, considering factors such as structural integrity, cost-effectiveness, and aesthetics.
• Review and Modify Designs: Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards. Make modifications and revisions as necessary throughout the design process.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support during construction, addressing any design-related issues that arise and making adjustments to plans as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation of drawings, revisions, and project specifications. Prepare drawing packages for project bids, permits, and approvals.
• Stay Updated: Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and changes in building codes and regulations to ensure drawings are accurate and up-to-date.
Skills and Qualifications:
• At least 8-12 year experience in the same role in construction industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other drafting tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to interpret and translate sketches and verbal instructions into detailed drawings.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Problem-solving skills to address design issues and modifications during construction.
• Degree in civil engineering or architecture (preferred).
