As a Joinery Drafter, your role will be to change the rough sketches and designs from engineers and architects to technical drawings and plans in such a way that they are understandable by everyone. You should have extensive experience working with AutoCAD software, advanced design skills, and a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, a top-class AutoCAD drafter can design and create high-level design models that meet all the specifications of the client. RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing, drafting, and processing jobs for production.
Working with the joinery drafting team, manage the workload and meet deadlines promptly.
Ensuring all drawings are prepared in accordance with the company standards and meet the project scope and budget.
Providing suggestions to increase productivity by setting up internal templates and procedures.
Reviewing architectural and shop drawings, contract specifications, and samples for design inconsistencies and conflicts.
Liaising with clients, project managers and factory staff.
Performing other duties as required.
Completing tasks within an agreed / allocated time.
Have a strong attention to detail.
Have outstanding organizational skills.
Have strong management/administrative skills.
Knowledge of materials & hardware.
Have retail experience in joinery drafting, detailing, setting out, and cutting list.
Understanding and experience of basic spatial design is essential.
