Job Description

Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman/Draftswoman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, production drawings, and schematics based on client requirements. This role involves collaborating with architects, designers, project managers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate documentation and execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Drafting:

Create detailed CAD drawings and technical layouts based on client briefs and project requirements. Develop production drawings, plans, sections, and elevations for kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanity units, doors, and other joinery/millwork components. Generate shop drawings for interior fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Client & Site Coordination:

Attend client meetings to understand design briefs and requirements. Conduct site visits to take measurements and prepare as-built drawings. Ensure client approvals on design proposals, shop drawings, and material selections.

Production & Execution Support:

Prepare production drawings and issue them to the factory and execution teams. Provide clear and accurate drawings to ensure seamless production and installation. Review drawings and resolve technical discrepancies in collaboration with engineers and project managers.

Material & Specification Management:

Coordinate with suppliers for material samples and ensure client approvals. Maintain records of material specifications, submittals, and supplier details. Work closely with procurement teams to clarify design-related queries.

Quality & Compliance:

Conduct quality checks by reviewing and updating drawings to meet project standards. Ensure design compliance with local regulations and project requirements. Support the site team during project execution by providing technical guidance.

Technical Documentation & Communication:

Maintain a structured filing system for drawings, revisions, and client approvals. Coordinate with sales and estimation teams by providing schematic sketches for project costing and proposal submissions. Prepare and submit RFIs (Requests for Information) for clarifications on project specifications.

Software Proficiency:

Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other relevant drafting software. Familiarity with rendering software like 3ds Max, Lumion, or Photoshop is an advantage. Ability to use MS Office and project management tools for documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the interior fit-out or joinery industry. Strong understanding of materials, joinery techniques, and fit-out construction methodologies. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
