Responsibilities

• Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
• Seamlessly into grating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.
• Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work.
• Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.
• Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
• Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.
• Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, subcontractors, project managers, etc.
• Seeking clarity and understanding from engineers and project managers when you are not 100% certain of something.
• Organizing and uploading drawings to web-based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project and subcontractors.
• Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects.
• Assist CNC operators to get the drawings ready for CNC cutting.
• Coordinate with plant engineer on daily basis to assure all orders are ready on time.
• Manage daily operations & machines in Cutting Division including direct, CNC, & Router cutting.
• Coordinate & report to line manager about status of daily production and machines.
• Follow production plan and meet delivery schedule.
• Plan for blocks cutting in effective way so that scrap and cut pieces would be reduced to the minimum level.
• Prioritize the utilization of cut pieces and top sheets in new orders over using new blocks.
• Improve cutting processes to get more productivity with least cost, time, scrap, and resources.
• Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering
• 2 years of experience at least as a draftsman 2D & 3D
• Expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds max
• Good Communications Skills and team work
