Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with experience in the Aluminum and Glass industry to join our team. The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings, layouts, and designs for aluminum and glass systems, including facades, windows, doors, curtain walls, partitions, and other related components. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and layouts for aluminum and glass structures (e.g., windows, doors, curtain walls, skylights, etc.).
• Convert conceptual designs, architectural drawings, and client specifications into technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure the drawings comply with project requirements, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with production and installation teams to ensure proper implementation of designs and resolve any technical issues.
• Create 3D models and renderings, when necessary, to visualize designs for presentation purposes.
• Ensure that all drawings are properly documented, including material specifications, dimensions, and construction methods.
• Modify and revise drawings as needed based on client feedback, design changes, or project updates.
• Perform site measurements and inspections to verify design accuracy and resolve discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
• Maintain an organized filing system for all drawings and project-related documents.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and best practices related to aluminum and glass systems.

Qualifications:

• Education : Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a draftsman, specifically within the aluminum and glass industry.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software is a plus.
• Familiarity with aluminum and glass fabrication techniques and installation processes.
• Strong understanding of structural and architectural principles related to aluminum and glass systems.

• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to aluminum and glass installations.
