Job Title: Draftsperson/Architect
Location: Maldives
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draftsperson/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in architectural drafting software, possess strong design sensibilities, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects from concept development through to construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with architects and other team members to develop design concepts and translate them into detailed architectural drawings. 2. Utilize drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create accurate floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details. 3. Prepare schematic designs, design development drawings, and construction documents in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes. 4. Conduct site visits and assist in gathering information for project assessments, feasibility studies, and as-built documentation. 5. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other statutory requirements. 6. Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and presentations to communicate design intent and address feedback. 7. Contribute to the development of architectural standards, best practices, and office protocols to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency. 8. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and sustainable design practices to inform project development and innovation.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or related field. 2. Proficiency in architectural drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. 3. Strong understanding of architectural principles, building construction techniques, and materials. 4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and visual, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively. 5. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in drafting and documentation. 6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision. 7. Prior experience in an architectural firm or related field is preferred but not required. 8. Professional licensure or pursuit of licensure (e.g., Architect Registration Examination) is a plus.
