Emergency Response:
Provide immediate first aid and medical assistance in the event of accidents, injuries on the construction site.
Assess the severity of injuries and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
Occupational Health Assessments:
Conduct pre-employment health screenings for new hires to ensure they are fit for the physical demands of the job.
Perform periodic health assessments for existing employees to monitor their health and identify any potential issues.
Health and Safety Training:
Conduct training sessions on health and safety practices for construction site workers.
Illness and Injury Prevention:
Identify and assess health hazards on the construction site and recommend measures to minimize risks.
Collaborate with site management to implement preventive strategies to reduce the occurrence of injuries and illnesses.
First Aid Stations:
Establish and manage on-site first aid stations equipped with necessary medical supplies.
Ensure first aid stations are easily accessible and well-stocked at all times.
Health Promotion:
Develop and implement wellness programs to promote a healthy lifestyle among construction site workers.
Provide information on nutrition, exercise, and stress management to improve overall well-being.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of health assessments, first aid interventions, and medical incidents.
Compile and analyze health data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaboration with Health and Safety Officers:
Work closely with health and safety officers to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety protocols.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with construction site management, workers, and external healthcare providers.
Provide guidance on health-related policies and procedures.
Post-Incident Support:
Offer support and follow-up care for workers who have experienced injuries or illnesses on the construction site.
Assist in the coordination of rehabilitation and return-to-work plans.
