Job Description

• Emergency Response : Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate care to the injured or ill at the scene.
• Patient Assessment : Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, and determine necessary medical interventions.
• Basic Life Support : Perform basic life support (BLS) procedures such as CPR, bleeding control, and wound care.
• Patient Stabilization : Stabilize patients for transport by immobilizing injuries and ensuring airway management.
• Transport : Safely transport patients to medical facilities, monitoring their condition en route.
• Communication : Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, providing updates and relaying patient information.
• Documentation : Accurately document patient information, treatment provided, and medical history for hospital records.
• Equipment Maintenance : Maintain and check medical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
• Safety Protocols : Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of patients, colleagues, and oneself.
• Training and Development : Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with medical practices and protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities of a Paramedic:

• Advanced Medical Care : Provide advanced medical care, including advanced airway management, intravenous therapy, and medication administration.
• Emergency Response : Respond to emergency calls and assess, treat, and transport patients with acute medical or traumatic conditions.
• Patient Assessment : Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions, including advanced diagnostic techniques.
• Advanced Life Support : Perform advanced life support (ALS) procedures, such as intubation, defibrillation, and administering advanced medications.
• Critical Decision-Making : Make critical decisions regarding patient care and implement appropriate treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Coordination of Care : Coordinate with other emergency medical personnel and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Patient Transport : Safely transport patients to healthcare facilities, providing continuous monitoring and care during transport.
• Communication : Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, providing detailed patient reports and updates.
• Documentation : Complete thorough and accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Mentorship and Training : Mentor and train junior EMTs and new paramedics, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Quality Improvement : Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of protocols and procedures.
• Professional Development : Engage in ongoing education and professional development to maintain certifications and enhance clinical skills.

Both EMTs and Paramedics play crucial roles in the emergency medical services (EMS) system, providing critical care and ensuring patients receive timely and effective medical attention.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
