The Client will apply for a work visa and provide relocation for the successful candidate if not local.PURPOSE OF THE ROLEAs a Dog Handler, you will be responsible for the care, training, and management of dogs in various settings such as training facilities, kennels, or dog shows. You will work closely with dogs of different breeds, temperaments, and training levels, ensuring their well-being, safety, and adherence to behavioral standards. Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, grooming, exercise, and administering medications if necessary.
implement training protocols to develop desired behaviors and obedience in dogs. This may include basic obedience training, agility training, or specialized training based on the needs of individual dogs.
Assess and evaluate the temperament and behavior of dogs to determine appropriate training approaches and socialization needs.
Safely handle and manage dogs during training sessions, socialization activities, and public appearances. Ensure the safety of both dogs and humans in all interactions.
Communicate effectively with dog owners or clients regarding training progress, behavioral concerns, and recommendations for ongoing care.
Monitor the health and well-being of dogs, identifying any signs of illness or injury and coordinating veterinary care as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of training facilities, kennels, or other work areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for dogs.
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, behavior assessments, health status, and other relevant information for each dog in your care.
