:
Coordinate with supervision for preparing project schedules and defining document distribution lists.
Properly segregate documents according to categorization procedures within the yard/department.
Ensure accurate labelling and database updates for all documents.
Define folder management, verify access controls, and ensure efficient use of storage space.
Receive and distribute all project data to concerned team members with proper transmittals and acknowledgment systems.
Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and Commercial teams to resolve disputes related to document numbering and revisions.
Ensure that all documents are controlled through proper revision management.
Ensure the latest documents are being used onboard and in the shop, replacing previous revisions with proper stamps.
Assist supervision in preparing project programs and rescheduling project plans against defined document distribution plans.
Maintain accurate communication with the documentation and planning team regarding the latest document revisions.
Ensure timely submission of all documents according to defined procedures.
Monitor man-hour consumption project-wise and report discrepancies to supervisors and managers.
Assist in preparing and developing individual project run-down curves and update weekly progress reports.
Verify man-hour bookings against correct sequence numbers in line with drawings and trackers, and report disputes to supervision.
Calculate man-hours and preplan piping execution procedures.
Actively assist supervisors in program implementation.
Review the 5-week plan and ensure manpower loading aligns with project requirements.
Experience / Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3 years of shipyard experience or similar construction industry experience.
At least 4 years of planning experience, including division of work scope through all stages of construction activities.
Competency in reading piping drawings, understanding material grades, and other basic process details.
Comprehensive knowledge of ship construction and relationships between trades.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic familiarity with Primavera.
Ability to extract information from drawings, AutoCAD, spool trackers/traceability, and weld maps.
Ability to present to a formal audience.
Proficient in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and performance measurement techniques.
Higher secondary school graduate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience with MS Project, MS Word, Excel, and Primavera.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
