Experience: 3 - 7 years
The main responsibilities of a document controller for technical designs include:
Setting up, copying, scanning, and storing technical design documents
Creating templates for technical design documents
Managing requests for technical design documentation
Filing design documents in physical and digital records and ensuring appropriate storage
Reviewing and maintaining the accuracy of the technical design records, editing where necessary to keep them up to date
Liaising with and distributing project-related technical design information to all levels of the project team
Managing the processes around technical design documentation within the organization
Maintaining confidentiality around sensitive technical design documentation
Preparing ad-hoc reports on technical design projects when required
Distributing reviewed technical design documents to relevant parties.
