DM Approved - Fit Out Project Engineer

• high-end, luxury villa Fit out projects: 5 years (Required)
• Fit-out and decoration management: 5 years (Preferred)

Position Overview

The Fit-Out Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the fit-out phase of construction projects. This includes ensuring that all interior construction and finishing tasks are completed according to design specifications, within budget, and on schedule. The role involves close collaboration with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality interior spaces.

Requirements:

• Must be an Active DM Approved Engineer with a valid SOE certification.
• IT Literate with Fluency in English and Arabic or Chinese is a must.
• Must have completed a minimum of 10 Fit-Out and decoration Luxury Residential and Commercial Shopping Mall projects in Dubai.
• Must be able to carry out the final inspections of all projects (luxury residential, commercial Fit-Out and decoration projects); rectify any snags and defects to achieve the satisfaction of clients on handing over the units.
• Facilitate the handover and Defects liability period works through daily follow-ups and ensure that all de-snagging works are completed.
• Must be able to prepare detailed daily, weekly and monthly work schedules with a proven history of delivering projects to client's satisfaction.
• Must have an eye for detail and should be technically sound to pre-empt possible issues in execution and find solutions.
• Must have knowledge about authorities' standards of (DEWA, DCD, DDA, DM, Trakhees & DMCC etc).
• Valid UAE Driving License.
• Must be provide previous projects list with name, size, location, responsibilities, project period and submission or handover date.
• Must be Civil Engineer license in Dubai Municipality with (G+1, G+4, G+8, G+12 or Infrastructure)

• Must have completed at least 10 Luxury Residential and Commercial projects in Dubai.

• Undertake design project from concept to completion
• Define project requirements and schedule during the "brief"
• Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
• Set costs and project fees according to budget
• Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
• Excellent portfolio of previous works

1. Project Planning and Coordination

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for fit-out projects.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Conduct site assessments and prepare necessary documentation for project initiation.

2. Site Management

• Oversee on-site activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
• Manage subcontractors and trades to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, addressing any local regulatory requirements.

3. Design Coordination:

• Reviewing design plans and ensuring they align with client requirements and budget constraints.
• Collaborating with architects and interior designers to integrate technical requirements into design concepts.

4 . Quality Control

• Ensure all fit-out works are completed to the highest quality standards.
• Address any issues or defects promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Perform final inspections and manage the handover process to clients, ensuring all local compliance certificates are obtained.

5. Budget and Cost Management

• Monitor project budgets and control costs to avoid overruns.
• Review and approve contractor invoices and change orders, ensuring transparency and adherence to budget constraints.
• Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management and clients, considering currency fluctuations and local market costs.

6. Client Communication

• Maintain clear and regular communication with clients to provide updates on Fit-Out and decoration project progress.
• Address any client concerns or requests promptly and effectively, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
• Ensure client satisfaction through diligent project management and high-quality deliverables.

7. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and correspondence.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and documented.

8. Compliance and Regulations

• Stay updated with Dubai's construction regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Ensure all fit-out activities comply with local laws and obtain necessary permits from relevant authorities.
• Liaise with local regulatory bodies and ensure that all fit-out works adhere to Dubai Municipality requirements.

9. Sustainability and Innovation

• Implement sustainable practices in fit-out projects, considering Dubai's focus on green building and sustainability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in fit-out and interior design, incorporating them into projects as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Fit-Out & Decoration Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing fit-out projects, preferably in commercial or residential sectors in U.A.E.
• Strong knowledge of Fit-Out & Decoration methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple Fit-Out & Decoration projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
