WHAT TO EXPECT



As a District Sales Manager, we look for ambitious, customer focused, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Dubai office, you will be work independently and report to the Senior Regional Sales Manager .

• You'll be working with Distributors, Sales Teams, Purchasers and Logistics and Finance Professionals
• This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be working Independently.
• You will be supporting the EMEA Operations and its revenue directly.
• This position is vital to Gates because it's a critical part of our operations that drives revenue is the face of our company to the direct customer

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

• Responsible for driving YoY growth for assigned Middle East Automotive Replacement customers and/or product segments
• Develop and maintain good relationships with new and existing customers in order to maximize company sales, and product/service capability.
• Lead and implement annual customer plans and align global account strategy to drive value creation for both customers and Gates
• Manage and deliver financial targets
• Builds specific market opportunities and penetration knowledge through business contacts.

ABOUT YOU

• Technical or commercial degree with 2-3 years' experience in the same type of function Light Vehicle Valid UAE License is essential
• Customer focused and self-motivated.
• Meet month end deadlines and absorb / manage work pressure

Basic Purpose and Function • Responsible for planning, follow-up and development of the sales actions and activities to existing and prospective customers in the designed area of responsibility: MENA
• Responsible for the achievement of sales goals and assuring market penetration for Gates Power Transmission Products
• Responsible for all aspects of jobbers and distributor follow-up and for all administrative related activities.
• Must have a good knowledge of market and competition.
• Builds specific market opportunities and penetration knowledge through business contacts.
• Responsible for maintaining good commercial relations with Gates customers/prospects and providing them all commercial information to help them in order to achieve sales budgets.
• Responsible for driving YoY growth for assigned Middle East Automotive Replacement customers and/or product segments
• Lead and implement annual customer plans and align global account strategy to drive value creation for both customers and Gates
• Manage and deliver financial targets
• Builds specific market opportunities and penetration knowledge through business contacts.
• Responsible for maintaining good commercial relations with Gates customers/prospects and providing them all commercial information to help them in order to achieve sales budgets.
• Build and deepen key customer relationships including cross functional contacts ( operations, marketing, pricing...etc.)
• Collect and communicate account performance on a monthly basis
• Drive and improve monthly forecast process and accuracy
• Manages account receivables and improve cash collection process with customer
• Build internal stakeholder relationship to drive collaboration between cross functional teams in order to align organizational resources to deliver both strategic and tactical customer activities
• Advocate Gates values
Position Dimensions (Scope) (e.g. reporting structure, personnel responsibility, decision-making authority, budget responsibility)• Reports directly to Senior Regional Sales Manager MEA and Turkey
• Direct sales and promotional activities on jobber level in view of reaching the sales budgets.
• Managing the expenses related to the assigned budget.
• Teaches customers the Gates' sales methods.
• Keep regularly market studies and collects the required data related to competition activities.
• Has decision-making authorisation within pre-established parameters and company proceedings concerning pricing and commercial conditions.
Contacts (internal/external)• Have regular visits and contacts with our present customers and with prospective customers.
• Works closely with Regional Sales Manager, Sales Co-ordinators and all sales support functions.
Other (travel, working conditions, unusual work schedules)• Travel: frequent travel to visit customers and organise joint visits to the end users.
• Required Location : Dubai
• Attends commercial and technical meetings as required.
Skills (manual, self expression, planning, organising)• Linguistic skills - English. Arabic is preferred
• B type valid driving license
• Diplomacy, availability, punctuality, product knowledge, discretion, personality, organisational skills, motivation, market knowledge, the ability to solve problems and to communicate on every level are indispensable in order to do this job properly.
• Being methodical, dynamic, having a positive attitude, a good sense of analysis and of synthesis, inquisitiveness and a sense of responsibility are also required. Being able to use Gates marketing philosophy and work independently. Integrity and honesty are a must.
• Good reporting skills and knowledge of PC basic programs required.
Education/Experience (minimum required)• Requires technical or commercial degree with 2-3 years experience in the same type of function; Preferred Arabic Speaker
