Job Summary
The Red Hat EMEA/APAC Telco Sales team is looking for a Director, Sales to lead a team of Sales professionals across a mix of accounts in the EMEA and APAC regions. In this role you will lead the team to promote Red Hat's portfolio of solutions, products and services. This role reports to the VP of the EMEA/APAC Geo and is closely involved in developing and implementing growth strategies and comprehensive solution approaches. You'll take an active role in meeting with customers to enable our teams and grow the business in alignment with communicated sales goals. It will be your responsibility to build, train, develop and manage this team to expand Red Hat's footprint and develop new revenue streams.
This role can be based anywhere in the EMEA region where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What You Will Do• Build/lead the sales team to work with existing Telco customers, with a keen focus on those generating in excess of $5M revenue, annually.
• Lead the team, transforming it into a group of skilled Sales professionals with a strong focus on cross functional collaboration to grow the existing footprint of Red Hat's business within the accounts.
• Be the voice of Telco at external media events and marketing/sales campaigns and serve as a spokesperson at external events (virtual and in-person), speaking to C-suite customers, discussing market trends, Red Hat Use cases, products and services.
• Serve as a member of the EMEA/APAC Telco leadership team to represent your team. Maintain close peer level working relationships to contribute to the strategic and tactical success of Red Hat's core business in EMEA/APAC.
• Develop comprehensive enterprise sales plans and strategies, executing on them to expand the business and achieve growth targets.
• Increase sales bookings and revenue by meeting targeted bookings, revenue, profit and growth goals focused on strategic solutions, accounts, projects and deals.
• Drive forecasting as well as weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews and reporting.
• Develop, coach and mentor your team to grow the business, promoting effective sales strategies by following Red Hat's Core values and Open Management practices.
• Motivate and inspire your team to take on competitors to expand Red Hat's market share.
• Lead the team to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by establishing sales goals, monitoring achievement and supporting collaborative account team relationships.
• Responsible for use case and solution sales by leading your sales professionals to become a vital part of the overall sales team and processes.
• Lead the team in breaking new ground, building new relationships and winning new business.
• Work closely with the global Telco Ecosystem team and Telco partners for accounts covered.


What You Will Bring• 8+ years progressive sales leadership experience in the Telco industry/practice, to include direct people management experience, in a technology organization.
• Strong relationship orientation with proven ability to build credibility at all levels within a client organization, including the C-suite.
• Experienced in setting sales targets and leading teams to achieve them.
• Demonstrated ability to use knowledge, processes and solutions selling strategies and methodologies to meet revenue growth objectives.
• Strong background in the Telco industry and the technology domain in the assigned markets.
• Excellent focus on the customer and ability to gain access to senior decision-makers.
• Ability to coach associates in the development of their solutions selling skills to execute on account plans.
• Multicultural awareness and mindset.
• The ability to speak both English and Arabic, required.
• Willingness to travel and use on-line collaboration tools to build relationships and the business, remotely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills (in English), including experience presenting to C-suite executives in large organizations.
