Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive growth and profitability in the retail sector. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business initiatives.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Takes decisions on matters relating to the day to day retail operation within their defined work area including the strategic planning of resources
Maintains a high level of presence within the retail outlets.
Translates the strategic goals into retail operational plans to achieve the required targeted growth in sales and profit
Takes a lead role in building a strong sales management culture with the operations team
Maintains and develops innovative and cost effective stock management
Plan, organize and achieve daily, weekly, monthly and yearly financial target for all retail outlets
Prior to each month\'s inventory ensure all RTV (return to vendor) and Damages are processed and submitted to cost audit.
Retail Department shifts management and to ensure all outlets are covered during peak periods/ weekends by the Sales Manager Retail and Officer Retail with opening and closing shifts.
Developing and maintaining service standards within the Retail Department.
Providing product training support for retail team with weekly on the job training.
Mentoring /coaching and developing retail team - ensuring a team focus and monitoring progress toward business goals
Develop and install procedures and controls to promote effective communication and adequate information flow within the retail division and across the resort.
Works with the human resources department to ensure people management issues are satisfactorily resolved and relevant HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
Ensures that the retail operation complies to all policies and procedures relating to Security, Health and Safety;
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
Extensive business experience responsible for multi outlets with the retail sector
Be able to demonstrate the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against a business strategy
Possess a track record of increasing and sustaining sales growth and profitability especially in challenging market conditions
Influencing and negotiation skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Commercially sound with a good understanding of profit and loss accounting
