This is not simply our job, it\'s our passion.Job SummaryThe Director, Public Relations & Communications is a key role within Atlantis Dubai\'s commercial team, driving the brand\'s overall awareness through public relations and communications initiatives, while working to protect and enhance the reputation of Atlantis Dubai globally and regionally. The role has full accountability for developing and overseeing the multimarket strategic PR and Communications planning and execution for the Atlantis brand. This includes two resorts (2,344 rooms), 51 restaurants and bars, including 13 celebrity chef restaurants, the marine & waterpark operation, Atlantis Atlas Project, and spa and wellness facilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesTeam and leadership
Oversee and lead a team of four PR Managers, four Assistant Managers, and one Team Admin.
Oversee and lead a network of 14 agencies across the MENA, APAC, and EMEA regions. Primary markets include the UK, USA, Australia, India, , UAE, KSA, Russia/CIS, Germany, and France. Secondary focus areas include Eastern Europe, South America, and China. Activity includes the creation of international toolkits, global PR campaigns, and market-specific communications strategies and tactics.
Strong alliance and collaboration with marketing, sales, revenue, digital, and loyalty to achieve strategic and commercial objectives.
Develop and manage complex annual departmental budgets and responsible for ROI optimisation.
Delivery of annual KPIs/company objectives and the compilation of reporting needs. Monitor EMV and key metrics, collaborating with cross-functional teams on integrated post-event/campaign/annual reports.
International and regional brand PR
Develop and implement communications strategies aligned with global brand vision and guidelines for all facets of the destinations\' operation (Rooms, F&B, Marine & Waterpark, Spa & Wellness, Kid\'s Club, and Atlantis Atlas Project.
Drive strategic partnerships and innovations with major global brands and stakeholders to maximize brand PR value and exposure ROI.
Partner with key stakeholders (Marketing, social media, sales, operations, Kerzner global comms team, RSO\'s, DET) to develop and implement integrated 360 go-to-market plans, maximize earned exposure in own channels, and develop regional directives to guide execution to brand standards.
Lead on securing impactful brand integration and content partnerships across the globe, including movies and TV as well as large-scale stunts, brand partnerships, and activations.
Lead on securing and managing all tier-one in-resort celebrity visits.
PR and comms lead on large-scale events including major concerts, seasonal initiatives, and in-resort activations.
Oversee all global editorial coverage and press relationships for all markets.
Development and creation of complex asset libraries including all written collateral, image library, and BROLL- defining and delivering the brand and operational narratives.
Crisis communications, reputation management, and CEO/C-suite communications including speech writing/profiling.
Lead on the brand\'s global award strategy (Michelin, World\'s 50 Best, Forbes).
Aquaventure
Lead on the regional and international PR and comms strategy for the world\'s largest waterpark, Atlantis Aquaventure.
Food & Beverage
Working with global partners and leading the PR and Communications strategy for 51 restaurants and bars, including 11 globally renowned and celebrity chef restaurants including Hakkasan and Ling Ling, Nobu and Nobu by the Beach, Milos by Costas Spiliadis, La Mar by Gast\xc3\xb3n Acurio, Jaleo by Jos\xc3\xa9 Andr\xc3\xa9s, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay, Studio, Frantz\xc3\xa9n/FZN by Bj\xc3\xb6rn Frantz\xc3\xa9n and Carbone (Major Food Group). Including communications strategies, grand opening events, brand content, and ongoing PR tactics.
Working alongside chefs/operations to achieve accolades including Gault & Millau Toques, The Best Chef Awards, Michelin stars, and The World\'s 50 Best restaurants.
Atlantis Atlas Project
Lead on the regional and international PR and comms strategy for the Atlantis brand\'s sustainability initiative, Atlas Project.
Qualifications and experience
10+ years of experience in PR & Communications within a large and complex consumer-facing organization or agency.
Degree in communications or similar discipline
Excellent contacts in media, entertainment, and influencers and the demonstrated ability to interface effectively with them.
An exceptional record of achievement as a senior communications professional.
Demonstrated negotiation and talent relations management skills.
Experience in managing a team/agencies, and complex workstreams with quality control.
Experience in budget management.
Experience delivering crisis and issue management within a regulated and complex operating environment.
Can deliver campaigns including activations and PR initiatives to drive brand health and growth for the business within narrow timeframes.
