Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort lies 15 minutes south of the city centre and 40 minutes from Seeb International Airport. The overall development will include a 1,200 square meters Talise Spa, a diving centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club. The resort will also include conference and banquet facilities to cater for Oman's growing attraction as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East. About the role An exciting role has arisen for a hard working Director of Sales to join the Sales & Marketing department at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is Lead the sales team and assists in the implementation of the segment sales strategy and achieving segment revenue goals, property revenue goals and guest and employee development and satisfaction. Conducts all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. Your key responsibilities will include: Set sales targets and ensure Sales & Events team members achieve their individual targets to the best of their abilities, with the ADOS support. Provide forecasts, reports, guidelines, and budget information as required. Responsible for managing the Sales Expense Budget (Marketing partnerships, Brochure contribution, Travel plans etc...) in close relation with the ADOS. Identifies and builds productive relationships with business partners, ensures team works strategically to achieve the same across all markets. Conduct regular catch ups ADOS as well as provide training when required. Setting of and monitors annual commercial plan goals and sales targets with SMART KPIs. Continuously reviews procedures and processes within the department to achieve maximum profit, productivity, and efficiency. Continuously reviews product and branding to ensure we are selling creatively and offering a more innovative edge over our competitors. Ensures departmental policies and procedures are in place and adhered to. Complies with all regional reporting requirements in the said timeframe. Maintains a current knowledge of Jumeirah products and services to cross sell and assist across the entire company. Provides leadership in entrepreneurial sales activities for self and the team. Represents the hotel at Road Shows, Trade Shows and events. About You In order to be considered for this role, you should have a At least 3 years in a Leadership role in the luxury hotel company. Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality or Economics. Excellent Communication Skills, both Verbal & Written. Fluent in English, additional languages highly desirable. In-depth experience and understanding of the luxury leisure market. Commercially, targets and results focused. Organized, disciplined, dedicated, and loyal. Excellent interpersonal skills. In depth knowledge of the sales system, key markets, segments and channels. Work under pressure to meet deadlines.
