Main Purpose of the Role:The Director of Outdoor Learning will provide visionary leadership to The Forest School and the wider outdoor learning program across the Infant School. The role is to ensure the effective development, implementation, and sustainability of an engaging, educational, and holistic outdoor curriculum that fosters creativity, environmental stewardship, resilience, and curiosity in young learners. The Director will lead on integrating theSustainability Curriculum, incorporating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into all planning, and ensuring that outdoor learning is a central and valued part of the educational experience. The role will also involve managing a dedicated team, overseeing outdoor areas, and developing strong links with families and the wider community.Values:

A relevant teaching degree (BEd), Post Graduate Certificate of Education or equivalent
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in education, with a proven track record of designing and implementing outdoor learning programs for young children.
At least 2 years experience in a leadership or management role, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and pedagogy in an outdoor learning context.
Knowledge of sustainable development practices and experience in incorporating SDGs into educational programs.
