Job Description
An independent government entity based in the UAE that works closely with defence and security agencies in the Middle East, is looking to hire a Director of Operations and Business Development.This role requires a blend of operational excellence and strong business acumen to identify growth opportunities and implement strategies.Operations:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient running of various business units in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Developing operational strategies to streamline processes and enhance productivity across all departments.
- Effectively managing facility and construction projects, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
- Establishing metrics to measure operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developing and executing strategic business plans to penetrate new markets, acquire new customers and expand the company\'s footprint, particularly within the free zone sector.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (a Master\'s degree is preferred).
- Must be an Emirati national.
- More than 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in operations management and business development, preferably in the free zone sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
