The employer is a world leader in health information technology and its application in healthcare.Position Summary:The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all aspects of the nursing department within a healthcare facility, ensuring high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and administrative skills to manage nursing personnel, develop policies, and collaborate with healthcare professionals.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Management:Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Develop and implement staffing plans to maintain optimal nurse-patient ratios and workload distribution.Clinical Oversight:Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care through adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical standards.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans and treatment protocols.Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as necessary.Budgeting and Resource Management:Participate in the development and management of the nursing department budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource allocation efficiency.Oversee inventory management of nursing supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and policies related to nursing practices, patient care, and healthcare operations.Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys.Education and Training:Develop and implement staff education and training programs to enhance clinical skills, promote professional development, and ensure competency.Facilitate ongoing education on new technologies, treatments, and best practices in nursing and healthcare delivery.Communication and Collaboration:Foster effective communication and collaboration among nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to promote positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and senior management, advocating for nursing priorities and initiatives.Qualifications:Education:Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) requiredMasters degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.Licensure:Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; additional certifications such as Nurse Executive (NE-BC) or Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) are desirable.Certification in Nursing Administration or a related field is highly desirable.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.Familiarity with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.Understanding of quality improvement methodologies and evidence-based practice.Requirements and Skills:Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or in a similar managerial role.In-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and key performance indicators/quality indicators (KPIs/KQIs) related to patient care.Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting.Comprehensive knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare.Willingness to stay updated on changing standards in nursing administration.Excellent leadership and personnel development abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Outstanding organizational and stress management skills.Proficiency in problem-solving.Valid nursing and CPR certification.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.In-depth understanding of nursing principles, clinical practices, and regulatory standards.Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to assess complex situations and implement effective solutions.Proficiency in healthcare technology, electronic health records, and nursing informatics systems.Organizational agility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing healthcare dynamics.Salary:Salary Range: GBP 8,000 per month (Tax-free) based on experience and country of origin.Benefits:Furnished accommodation provided as per client PolicyTransportation service provided, from/to workCompetitive medical insurance coverageAnnual Leave - 21 Paid calendar daysAnnual Holidays - 10 Paid calendar daysAnnual - Economy Class round-trip ticketProfessional development opportunities.Relocation assistance.If you are a dedicated and compassionate nurse looking to make a difference in patient care, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position.
