:Job Title: Director of Audit - UAE NationalJob Location: Abu DhabiRemuneration: CompetitiveJob Responsibilities:Manage and lead the planning and implementation of the Department audit plan, strategy and programs to ensure delivering departmental output in line with the company relevant methodologies and quality standards.Strategy and Planning\xc3\xbc Direct and lead the development and implementation of the department related policies, systems, procedures manual, Delegation of company, system user manuals and standard forms to ensure compliance across the company and alignment with the companys overall policies and procedures.\xc3\xbc Ensure effective cascading of the sector strategy into the departments strategic and operational plans to achieve the companys overall objectives.\xc3\xbc Develop and direct the implementation of the department strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans, and monitor corporate performance ensuring alignment with the sector strategy, the companys vision, mission and corporate objectives.\xc3\xbc Forecast and develop department budget and direct the monitoring of financial performance against the budget to ensure areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.\xc3\xbc Develop the department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with the companys overall objectives and ensure that sections meet KPIs in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Operations\xc3\xbc Manage and lead the departments engagements to achieve the overall Audit strategy.\xc3\xbc Review the Sections annual audit plan and prepare the Department audit plan in accordance with the established standard audit framework.\xc3\xbc Lead relations for subject entities at a senior level in line with the company defined protocols and code of ethics.\xc3\xbc Lead development of industry knowledge related to the department through research, data analysis and analysing outcomes of audit engagements\xc3\xbc Manage the planning, execution, and reporting for complex and higher risk engagements, which are strategically important to manage client relations at a higher level.\xc3\xbc Manage, mentor, guide and coach the section heads, so as to provide strategic leadership and direction to various outputs being undertaken by the company and to ensure that these are appropriately executed in accordance with the company approved manuals and standards.\xc3\xbc Manage all assigned Departments engagement portfolios or services at all complexity levels, in addition to the finalization of reports and deliver to the company leadership.\xc3\xbc Manage the development and delivery of assigned Department plans and objectives in line with approved Sector strategy.\xc3\xbc Conduct the final review of all department outputs prior to their presentation to the Director General.\xc3\xbc Manage and lead the risk assessment and audit plan preparation exercise in the department and ensure alignment with the company policies, procedures and relevant methodologies.\xc3\xbc Collaborate with the Executive Director on the Annual Performance Management Agreement in line with the the companys plans to reinforce an organization-wide drive for performance.\xc3\xbc Provide subject matter expertise and monitor the application of audit practices, including developing audit programs related to the Department subject entities, maintaining working papers, audit evidence and ensuring that the latest strategies are applied.\xc3\xbc Ensure that the audit documentation is kept in order in the audit management system and can be easily understood by others.\xc3\xbc Manage the development of audit procedures for the Department and ensure alignment with the company methodologies manual and standards.\xc3\xbc Ensure that section heads outputs are appropriately executed in accordance with the company approved manuals and standards.\xc3\xbc Manage section heads for the efficient utilization and deployment of manpower by allocating resources in light of the approved audit plan and leading the day-to-day deployment and utilization of the auditor team to achieve the defined program objectives as per quality standards.Corporate\xc3\xbc Oversee and direct periodic organizational structure change and to ensure optimal resource utilization.\xc3\xbc Direct change management through continuous improvement of department systems, processes and practices taking into account global standards and changes in the business environment, which demand proactive action plans.\xc3\xbc Ensure that all department reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the company requirements, and quality standards.\xc3\xbc Oversee department adherence and compliance with all the company corporate policies, procedures and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety etc.) and code of business conduct.General\xc3\xbc The level of performance should reflect the academic qualification, type of courses in the field of specialization, employee job level, and the level of productivity.\xc3\xbc The academic and professional certificates required and approved by the company should be acquired within the period specified and based on the employees Individual Development Plan.\xc3\xbc Perform the task and responsibilities independently unless an approval or directive was obtained to delegate the task to other employees in case of incapability to perform the tasks and responsibilities.\xc3\xbc Ensure teamwork, collaboration and dedication in performing duties.\xc3\xbc Showcase a strong leadership to the team members.\xc3\xbc Knowledge and awareness about the capabilities of the subordinates and showcase a strong\xc3\xbc knowledge in the field of specialization.\xc3\xbc Provide the required support and guidance to the subordinates.\xc3\xbc Take responsibility of the decisions made.To qualify for this role, you must have:
  • 14-15 years of relevant experience in financial, compliance, performance audit and advisory industry out of which 8 years in managerial role.
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Masters Degree in relevant subject is preferred.
