@MarcEllis is #HIRINGJob Title: Director of Trade Finance Distribution xe2x80x93 Agency Duration: 9 months extendable contractLocation: Dubai/Abu Dhabi, UAEIndustry: BankingJob Brief:The purpose of the job is to establish a robust agency function within GTB in order to assist in the development and enhancement of the Trade Distribution desks primary syndication activity for Corporate clients, support risk mitigation structures in line with credit approvals and client requirements, as well as contribute to revenue growth with GTB KEYACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Revenues, Assets (funded and unfunded) xe2x80x93 Budget and actual

• Product development and management

• Commercialization of new product and solutions

• Stakeholders (internal & external) management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and articulate the overall Trade Risk Distribution syndication strategy across corporate risks and contribute to the effective implementation of the approved agency strategy along with the relevant business plans

• Develop a robust network across Financial Institutions and Corporate teams and utilize the network for developing business opportunities and the execution of agency functions under syndicated arrangements.

• Arrange for bespoke syndication arrangements for Trade Finance, including multiple product and multiple jurisdictional arrangements, in line with client needs and risk approvals.

• Assume complete ownership of the Agency functions for Trade Risk Distribution syndication arrangements in terms of assets, products, systems functionality, regulatory regimes and network creation etc.

• Effectively manage the documentation and structuring across all syndications with agency roles generated through the desk, including adherence to the Banks product policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with the channels team to develop innovative and efficient solutions for managing agency capabilities under syndications handled by the desk.

• Develop syndication agency strategy with the Trade Product Innovation team & RMs in creation of pipeline of corporate syndications, creating necessary capabilities, and identifying appropriate structures and products, in line with the Banks objectives and client needs.

• Responsible for the pricing and P&L of syndications in collaboration with the corporate transaction teams under syndications managed by the desk.

• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet companys and sub-department requirements, policies, and standards.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices in agency roles, taking into consideration xe2x80x98international leading practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

• Ability to lead teams and coach / train in agency roles under syndication activities.

FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

• Strong network of contacts with primary syndication desks market desks in FIs globally (strong plus)

• Strong technical knowledge of Trade products. (must)

• Strong interpersonal skills as well as a team player with strong influential skills that can motivate other team members to achieve the business objective. Ability to work in matrix environment

• Strong execution capability coupled with excellent customer service & negotiation skills

• Self-confident and performance driven. Ability to work under pressure and with a strong delivery focus

• Ability to articulate, formulate and deliver high quality business & client strategy

• Ability to make decisions, influence other and work in co-operative manner and find resolution to client needs

• Strong appreciation of operations processes and procedures, and understanding of trade-related risks

• Familiar with the regulatory environment concerning financial industry (must)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Minimum Qualification xe2x80x93 Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or equivalent discipline MinimumExperience xe2x80x93 10+ years Transaction Banking experience.
