:OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Job Functions Include, but not limited to:Dietitian Services
Dietitian/s will serve all residents of NMC PIMC. The resident population covers pediatric and adult residents. All residents will have initial assessments to determine goals for intervention within 72 to 96 hours of admission.
Dietitian services will be available on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Dietitian/s is part of the multidisciplinary team working alongside the doctors and nurses to provide the best outcomes to residents.
Collects, analyzes, and summarizes relevant data from the residents and medical records.
Interprets laboratory values and estimates nutrient requirements.
Analyzes subjective and objective information to define nutrition problems and goals.
Collaborates with nursing to complete nutrition screening for residents within 72 to 96 hours of admission.
Completes doctor\'s orders in accordance with facility policy.
Documents residents\' nutritional services in the medical records following facility policy guidelines and governing body standards.
Evaluates appropriateness of enteral nutrition support, including energy, protein, and adequacy of fluid provisions, making necessary recommendations in a timely and professional manner.
Communicates changes and additions in nourishment provision, residents\' food allergies and food preferences to multidisciplinary team.
Conducts resident education with the family and sitters as needed.
Evaluates diet prescription relative to diagnosis and recommends changes as appropriate.
Develops nutrition information relevant to current practice theory.
Assists in review and revision of policies relative to nutrition care process.
Revises and creates educational materials as necessary.
Continually studies emerging trends and new research related to the practice of dietetics.
Attends all mandatory in-services and staff meetings.
Involved in the management of physical resources including decision on procurement of materials related to the service, quality improvement, and education of NMC PIMC staffs, significant others and the community.

Dresses appropriately to the expectations of the specific work areas and Occupational Health and Safety Policy.

Attend applicable facility and departmental OHS training. Ensure all the staff under them have attended mandatory OHS training.
Attend committee meetings and communicate the information to other staff working in that particular area.
Take reasonable care for the health and safety of colleagues and the environment that may be affected by the employee\' acts or omissions at the workplace.
Cooperate with NMC PIMC Managers and OSH team with respect to any action taken by them to comply with OSHAD requirements.
Follow Up and Implement corrective actions for the findings identified during inspection and Audit.

Education -Should complete 4 basic requirements of Nutrition and Dietetics program:
Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university
Supervised practice program / practicum
National exam from country of origin
Accredited seminars and continuing education programs
Experience - At least 10 years in an acute care set up with major duties in ICUs and In-patient wards
Certification and Licensure - DOH Licensed / Current certification in BLS
Completed at least yearly 14 CME points
Job Specific Knowledge and Skills - Experience with JCI accreditation.
Familiar and experienced with DOH policies and procedures
