We are looking for an innovative and experienced DIET chef to join our new and exciting restaurant who has a unique and healthy cuisine. You will help us put together a menu, develop exciting menu items, set up the kitchen and assist with preparing the restaurant for the grand opening. Our ideal candidate would be a creative and motivated person who is willing to work side by side with the owners and show passion and independence to create a unique environment for our guests.
Chef Duties and Responsibilities
Create new recipes and design overall menu, including weekly specials
Track, record, and maintain inventory stock including foods, beverages, and kitchen supplies
Food costing
Chef Requirements and Qualifications
Having an interest in vegan culinary art
Experience cooking and serving vegan dishes
3+ years Kitchen experience
Willingness to work hard and operate in a team structure
Bachelors' degree or similar culinary degree
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and how to operate it
Great culinary imagination for crafting and presenting dishes
Leadership skills such as leading a team of cooks, teaching line cooks new recipes and managing a kitchen staff
Effective and clear communicator
Proficiency using Microsoft Suite to monitor and track inventory and maintain recipe records
