Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues in vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and software. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Utilize various diagnostic tools, equipment, and software to accurately determine problems.
• Document and report diagnostic findings, providing detailed information on the nature and extent of issues identified.
• Work closely with mechanics and service advisors to communicate diagnostic results and recommend necessary repairs.
• Ensure all diagnostic tools and software are regularly updated and maintained.
• Explain diagnostic findings to customers in a clear and understandable manner, offering repair options and recommendations.
• Stay current with the latest diagnostic techniques, tools, and industry developments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive diagnostics or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a diagnostic technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software; strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE certification) are highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic testing and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical information to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to work in various positions and lift heavy parts and equipment as required.
