Mark Williams is currently working with a leading government entity who is looking for a seasoned DevOps lead to join the team.Responsibilities:- Develop strategies in alignment with business objectives. Supervise the creation and deployment of a high-performance infrastructure
- Manage systems and network infrastructure, including servers, application servers, database servers, backup services, email systems, and directory services
- Lead the project engineering team, ensuring consistency and managing team assignments
- Assist teams in elaborating Jira stories and mapping them to available platforms for secure service deployment
- Execute skilled platform build and support tasks, including developing secure base containers
- Identify instances where teams deviate from best practices and provide guidance to mitigate delivery risks
- Aid engineers in discovering service topology and defining QA and deployment pipelines
- Promote the adoption of new tools to enhance integration approaches and develop or refine support processes for users
- Establish operational standards and procedures to support current and future needs
- Implement IT Change Management procedures for production application updates
- Drive DevOps practices for enhanced development pipelines and automation
- Collaborate with Application Operations, platform architects, and Microsoft Azure to address business needs
- Implement and track success of DevOps roadmap through key performance indicatorsRequirements:- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in computer engineering or computer science
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in comprehending virtualization platforms and technologies
- Possessing a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices is essential, along with the capability to orchestrate and automate complete CI/CD pipelines for software deployment, testing, and monitoring
