Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a background in Linux/Windows system administration to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be on server maintenance, automation scripting, and ensuring a secure and resilient infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Server Management :
• Manage and maintain Linux/Windows servers in both virtualized and physical environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
• Server Configuration & Optimization :

Configure servers for best practices in performance tuning, load balancing, and secure access, including kernel tuning, patch management, and package updates.

• Automation & Scripting :

Develop and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning, deployment, and configuration management using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.Implement and manage backup solutions for data integrity and disaster recovery. Maintain a strong understanding of network protocols, routing, VPNs, and QoS guarantees.Implement security measures across systems, including monitoring, patch management, and incident response. Use cybersecurity tools for threat detection, firewall configuration, and vulnerability assessments.Troubleshoot server, network, and infrastructure issues, and perform root cause analysis. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as needed.Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the deployment process using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.Understand and work with microservices architecture and containerization technologies, particularly Docker, to support application scalability and reliability.Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years' experience as a Linux & Windows System Administrator
• Strong proficiency in shell scripting
• Expertise in Linux/Windows system administration, including package management, kernel tuning, and network configuration
• Experience with Backup Solutions :
• Strong knowledge of backup and restore processes for virtualized and physical environments.
• Cybersecurity Tools :

Familiarity with cybersecurity tools like IDS/IPS systems, firewalls, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners to ensure robust security across all systems.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and experience managing virtual machines
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization using Docker
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
• Knowledge of network design and QoS guarantees
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishOther Requirements:

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
