Job Title: Design Team Leader - Aluminum and Glass Industry

Location: Dubai Industrial City

Reports To: Technical Manager

Job Summary:

The Design Team Leader for the Aluminum and Glass Industry will oversee the design team in creating innovative and functional designs for aluminum and glass products. This role involves leading and coordinating the design process from conceptualization to final product, ensuring high-quality standards, timely delivery, and adherence to client specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, excellent leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of aluminum and glass materials and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and develop team members' skills and career paths.
• Design Development:
• Oversee the creation of detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for aluminum and glass products.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional designs.
• Project Coordination:
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, sales, and marketing) to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Address any design-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Innovation and Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the aluminum and glass industry.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in design processes and products.
• Implement new design tools, software, and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and output.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all designs are thoroughly reviewed and tested for quality and functionality.
• Conduct regular audits of design processes and outputs to maintain high standards.
• Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in the aluminum and glass industry.
• Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a design team.
• Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent understanding of aluminum and glass materials, fabrication techniques, and applications.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with project management software.
• Certification in relevant design or management courses.
