Job Description

We are looking for a Structural Design And Estimation Manager for a Steel Fabrication company based in Dubai

Responsibilities will primarily include but are not limited to the following:

1) Performing structural analysis and engaging in the design of steel and/or transportation structures for both new construction and rehabilitation
2) Preparing technical/design reports and calculations packages
3) Preparing construction drawings and specifications
4) Attending design meetings and site inspections with our clients, subconsultants, and partners on an as- needed basis
5) Interacting and collaborating with our in-house drafters and other engineers
6) Designing various structures and producing contract documents for various building types, retaining walls, foundations, and wastewater treatment plant

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of designers, including architects, structural engineers, steel and aluminum detailers
• Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, encouraging the team to generate fresh ideas and concepts.

Project Management:

• Plan, organize, and prioritize design projects to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, projects and production, to ensure the successful execution of design projects.

Design Strategy:

• Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's branding and business goals.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors' design initiatives.

Concept Development:

• Work closely with designers to conceptualize and create design concepts, sketches, or prototypes.
• Review and approve design proposals and presentations.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

10+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a fabrication environment
Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program
Proficient in Revit AutoCAD RAM Structural System and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Risa 2D, Risa 3D, SAP 2000

Experience in ETABS, is preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED12,000.00 per month
