Design Lead

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a creative, Design Lead for our Creative Services & Brand Management department, in our office in Dubai, UAE. MBN is a non-profit grantee of the federal government that directly communicates with the people of the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio, and digital media. MBN\'s mission is to provide objective, accurate, and relevant news and information to the people of the Middle East about the region, the world, and the United States in support of U.S. public diplomacy.

The Design Lead manages our design team in Dubai to ensure the highest quality and most creative graphics output from there. The incumbent manages the designer\xe2\x80\x99s assignments to achieve the set goals and maintain brand consistency while archiving the desired targets. The incumbent also works hands-on to produce graphics solutions for MBN and its entities. Dubai\xe2\x80\x99s Design Lead will also maintain a positive, energetic, and creative environment for Dubai\xe2\x80\x99s graphics team.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities noted with bullets considered the essential job functions).

• Lead and supervise MBN\xe2\x80\x99s Dubai graphics team to ensure the production of the highest quality graphics and work efficiency.
• Create and maintain an energetic and positive creative environment.
• Generate creative ideas and concepts to serve MBN\xe2\x80\x99s graphics design and animation requirements.
• Organize shifts, workload, job requests, deliveries, and distribution of jobs.
• Establishes and maintains great professional relationships with MBN team members.
• Execute and deliver hi-end graphics solutions including but not limited to VRs, ARs, openers, chapter heads, and complex animated and composited creative solutions.
• Supervise the execution of graphics on MBN\xe2\x80\x99s platforms and provide solutions, guidance, and assistance to MBN Dubai staff in matters related to graphics, brand, and visuals.
• Utilize the latest software, platforms, technologies, and techniques.
• Serve as a key designer and animator.
• Work and coordinate with MBN\xe2\x80\x99s team members on job requirements, brainstorming, deliveries, and workflows.
• Present innovative ideas, concepts, and solutions which encompass the latest trends and technologies of the industry.
• Identifies and learns new technologies/design techniques and take lead role in sharing knowledge.
• Stay on top of all design trends and maintain best practices.

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• A degree in Fine Arts, motion graphics, design, multimedia, or equivalent education or experience, minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Exceptional design skills with emphasis on digital and broadcast brand design, logos, layouts, colors, and infographics.
• Excellent communications skills, with a can-do and positive attitude.
• Minimum of 2 years managing design experience.
• Qualified candidates who are bi-lingual in reading, writing, and speaking Modern Standard Arabic are preferred.
• Applicants must have expert knowledge of real-time and graphics software such as VizRT, Unreal, Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max, Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects.
• Candidates must have excellent experience in designing for digital and broadcast platforms.
• Applicant must demonstrate exceptional creative and various graphics skills.
• Candidates must be able to read Arabic and provide creative solutions in it.
• The selected candidate will have an excellent eye for design, form, and color and will be familiar with both MAC and PC.
