Job Description

The Design Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering design support for a variety of EPC projects, from conceptual design to detailed design and implementation. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, safe, and cost-effective design solutions while ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of engineering solutions for EPC projects, ensuring designs are optimized for performance, cost, and constructability.

Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports for various project components, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems.

Conduct design assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses to identify potential challenges and propose practical solutions.

Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and construction teams to ensure that design deliverables are aligned with project timelines, quality standards, and budgets.

Perform detailed design analysis and calculations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Review and approve design documents, materials, and vendor submittals to ensure consistency with project requirements.

Provide technical support during procurement and construction phases, offering clarification on design issues and assisting with problem-solving on-site.

Coordinate design activities and communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and cohesive project execution.

Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project meetings to ensure the continuous improvement of the design process.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, design trends, and advancements in engineering technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering within an EPC environment, preferably in industrial, infrastructure, or energy sectors.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) and engineering design tools.

In-depth knowledge of design codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISO).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative design solutions.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple design tasks, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are met.

Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients.

Experience with 3D modeling, BIM (Building Information Modeling), or other advanced design technologies.
