### Your role and responsibilities


ABB's Service Division partners with our customers to improve the availability, reliability, predictability and sustainability of electrical products and installations. The Division's extensive service portfolio offers product care, modernization, and advisory services to improve performance, extend equipment lifetime and deliver new levels of operational and sustainable efficiency. We help customers keep resources in use for as long as possible, extracting the maximum value from them, and then recovering and regenerating products and materials at the end of their useful life. As a Design Engineering Support you will design engineering guides by outlining and defining company values, principles and aspirations in design. Thus, being an Ambassador for ABB in front of the End User. Work model: onsite #LI-Onsite Your responsibilities: o Develop conceptual designs based on client requirements, project specifications, and industry standards and feed the correct requirements to the parent factory. o Utilize engineering principles, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, and other tools to create detailed designs. Create prototypes of designs for testing and validation. Coordinate with testing teams to conduct experiments and analyze results. Iterate designs based on test outcomes to refine and improve product performance. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, SCM, and marketing to ensure designs meet project goals and customer needs. Communicate effectively with team members to address design challenges and incorporate feedback. o Prepare detailed engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and design reports. Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards and regulations. o Design to meet updated standards, incorporating new products, components and functionalities. Create or review engineering drawings, specifications and plans required by manufacturing, fabrication, or construction. o Interact with customers and provides technical guidance on design related queries. Analyze the customer issue and prepare the root cause analysis based on the industry standards. o Capability to perform the system studies using the ETAP software and provide the consultancy service to the customer by providing right solutions upon reviewing the customer issues. o Create standard processes and tools to promote the reuse of technical solutions. o Coach less experienced designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including drawings and calculations. May manage a small team of designers on a project. o Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design engineering. Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.

### Qualifications for the role

• Professional Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge in MV, LV core products.
• Experience with latest design tools like ETAP, SolidWorks and Eplan.
• Creating FBD and structural programming.
• Identifying the communication architecture requirements.
• Familiar in latest Industrial standards IEC and IEEE.
• Turn-key projects design knowledge with civil drawing and adequacy checks.
• Experience in operating ABB PCM software.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Team coaching and good team player, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
