Job Description

:

Mechanical Design Engineer to help projects involving Static Equipment (Pressures Vessels/Filters/Tanks/Static Packages). Candidate should have worked as Design Engineer with demonstrated experience in execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, Detailed design and detailing for pressure vessel and pressure vessel-centred process packages.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs assigned work with sound engineering practices and of desired quality for static equipment Participates in review of Process package for completeness of Process and Mechanical related data Review of MSDs, Data sheets. Commenting/review on the same for completeness Design, preparation of Basic design, detailed design, and Engineering drawings. Review of RFQs, assessing deviations, raising of TQs, TBEs, etc Coordinate technical issues with other departments on projects including technical and constructability Helping the project through construction and commissioning phases

Specific capabilities required for the role include experience in:

Detail engineering for Static Equipment and related packages for Refinery, LNG, Petrochemical Process Units, Off-site and Utilities Tanks based on API 650, Spheres, mounded bullets, etc. will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Design using ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and Div. 2, and other helping sections of ASME. Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards like ASME, TEMA, ANSI, API, BS, BIS, etc. Hands-on experience on industry software(s): Compress, PVElite(Hexagon). Knowledge of engineering work planning and schedules, related construction practices. Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stake holders. Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 7-9 years of experience in mechanical design role. Proficiency in CAD software (PVElite, Compress, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc). Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
