Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design And Estimation Engineer (Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the design, drafting, review, and implementation of Fire & Life Safety systems, including firefighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA standards, and a proactive approach to project management and client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Drafting:

• Create and develop Fire & Life Safety drawings and shop drawings for firefighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and NFPA standards.
• Develop evacuation plans in accordance with the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.

Review and Coordination:

• Review and provide feedback on construction shop drawings.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to implement review comments and ensure compliance.

Civil Defense and Compliance:

• Prepare initial Civil Defense drawings as per UAE Fire & Life Safety requirements.
• Advise consultants and clients on the installation of firefighting systems at new sites.

Project Management:

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and estimates for Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, and Emergency Lighting systems as per UAE code.
• Prepare material submittals, compliance statements, and other related documents according to project specifications.
• Review tender documents and ensure all requirements are met.

Client Interaction and Support:

• Follow up with clients regarding proposals and quotations, providing updates as necessary.
• Offer technical support and resolve on-site issues to ensure project completion within stipulated timelines.
• Take accurate measurements from sites and prepare detailed shop drawings.

Consultation and Advice:

• Provide expert advice to consultants and clients regarding firefighting systems to be installed in new developments.
• Engage in discussions with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and optimal safety solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Fire & Life Safety system design and implementation.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and NFPA standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment:

• The role may require site visits and interaction with various stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and construction teams.
• Flexibility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
