The Deputy Corporate Legal and Licensing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of business licensing and corporate structuring. This role ensures regulatory compliance, facilitates efficient entity formation and restructuring, and enhances operational processes. The position requires strong knowledge of business registration frameworks, regulatory guidelines, and corporate governance. Additionally, it involves liaising with government authorities, managing licensing renewals, and advising on corporate structuring strategies to optimise business efficiency.Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end licensing process, including issuance, renewals, amendments, and compliance monitoring.
Provide strategic guidance on corporate structuring and regulatory compliance across various jurisdictions.
Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and regulatory authorities.
Oversee business registration and restructuring processes, ensuring alignment with legal and financial requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to facilitate smooth licensing and structuring workflows.
Monitor and analyse changes in laws, regulations, and licensing procedures, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead and manage a team of licensing specialists and PROs, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
Identify new revenue opportunities by offering value-added corporate services, such as translation, attestation, and regulatory advisory.
Prepare notary documentation and compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
Deliver training sessions to internal stakeholders on licensing regulations and corporate structuring best practices.
Skills & Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE, in legal, corporate services, or regulatory compliance.
Proven track record in customer service, stakeholder management, and effective communication.
Strong project management, planning, and organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy.
Excellent understanding of company formation, restructuring, and licensing procedures in onshore, offshore, and free zones.
Familiarity with government portals, licensing platforms, and compliance regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams, including legal, finance, and HR.
