Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments used in the clinic.
- Assists dental students in the clinics.
- Assists in preparing the patient for treatment by students and assist during the treatment as needed.
- Evaluates the students\xe2\x80\x99 performance and liability in the clinics.
- Demonstrates minor oral surgery procedures (e.g. Impacted Teeth).
- Upgrades the core of knowledge of the dental students.
- Helps dental students in their Researches and Seminars.
- Assists in the Consultation and Dental check-ups for patients.
- Performs routine inspection for cross-infection control.
- Invigilates during mid-term and final exams.
- Assists the dental technicians in their laboratory tasks.
- Maintains hygiene, health and safety measures in the dental clinics.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Diploma/ Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Nursing or any related field from an accredited institution.
- Two years of experience that is directly related to the duties specified.
- MOH License. Title: Dental Nurse
- Ability to work as a team member within a clinical environment.
- Ability to set up and prepare dental nursing procedures in accordance with established regulations and guidelines.
- Knowledge of dental supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Knowledge of governmental/ institutional regulations and guidelines for the provision of dental outpatient nursing services.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of dental equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of radiation safety procedures, standards, and protocols.
- Knowledge of sterile procedures.
- Work is performed in an interior medical/clinical environment.
- Moderate physical activity.
- Requires handling of average-weight objects.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens.
