Overview:


We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant, who is a Registered Nurse (RN) or Dental Nurse (DN), to join our dental team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience and hold a valid license from the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD). As a Dental Assistant at our facility, you will work closely with dentists and other members of the dental team to provide high-quality oral healthcare services to our patients.

Responsibilities:



Assist Dentists:

Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments, materials, and equipment are readily available.

Patient Care:

Prepare patients for dental treatments, including taking medical histories, obtaining vital signs, and explaining procedures to alleviate patient anxiety.

Instrument Sterilization:

Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.

Radiography:

Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by dentists, ensuring high-quality images and adherence to radiation safety guidelines.

Patient Education:

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care instructions, and the importance of regular dental check-ups to maintain oral health.

Records Management:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and radiographic images, in compliance with regulatory standards.

Supply Management:

Monitor dental supply inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels for efficient clinic operations.

Infection Control:

Adhere to strict infection control protocols and standards of practice to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and maintain a sterile clinical environment.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental hygienists, and other members of the dental team to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.

Professional Development:

Stay current with advancements in dental technology, techniques, and best practices through continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:



Registered Nurse (RN) or Dental Nurse (DN) qualification.

Valid licensure from the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) to practice as a Dental Assistant.

Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic or hospital setting.

Proficiency in chair-side assisting, dental radiography, and sterilization techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.

Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.

Professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude towards patient care.

Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
