We are seeking an experienced Dental Lab Technician to join our team at Magnum Dental Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental laboratory procedures and techniques, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. This role involves fabricating, repairing, and maintaining dental devices such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate dental prosthetics including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances following dentist prescriptions.
- Use various materials and tools to create accurate and aesthetically pleasing dental appliances.
- Operate and maintain dental laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Perform detailed work on dental appliances to ensure precision and quality.
- Collaborate with dentists to ensure prosthetics meet patient needs and specifications.
- Repair and adjust dental appliances as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory work and patient cases.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay current with advancements in dental materials, techniques, and technology.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Dental Laboratory Technology or a related field. Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a dental laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in using dental laboratory equipment and materials (e.g., porcelain, metal alloys, acrylics).
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and prosthetic design.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with CAD/CAM technology and digital dentistry.
- Knowledge of dental implantology and the fabrication of implant-supported prosthetics.
- Experience in both fixed and removable prosthetics.
