Job Summary:
As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff to create exceptional dishes and provide an outstanding dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
• Cooking: Cook and plate food items according to menu specifications and in line with health and safety regulations.
• Station Management: Manage your designated station efficiently, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Chef de Partie and kitchen team to ensure smooth service and effective communication.
• Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.
• Inventory Management: Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, while minimizing waste.
• Training and Development: Support the training of junior kitchen staff and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Culinary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
Working Conditions:
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as required
