1. Assisting the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking food items for the restaurant or kitchen.
2. Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
3. Preparing ingredients and mise en place (preparation) for the assigned station.
4. Cooking and plating dishes according to the established recipes and presentation standards.
5. Ensuring food quality, taste, and consistency meet the restaurant's standards.
6. Following food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
7. Communicating and coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
8. Learning and developing culinary skills and techniques from senior chefs.
9. Assisting in creating new dishes or contributing to menu development.
10. Managing inventory and stock levels for the assigned station.
11. Assisting with ordering supplies and managing kitchen expenses within budgetary guidelines.
