Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Demand Planner / Inventory Coordinator to join our Operations team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between the Sales, Supply Chain, and Warehouse departments to accurately forecast product demand and manage inventory levels effectively. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of supply chain dynamics, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to minimizing product wastage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with BMs, Country Managers, Sales and Supply Chain teams to gather and analyse data, creating accurate demand forecasts for various products. Adjust forecasts based on market trends, sales data, and other influencing factors.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available to meet demand while minimizing excess. Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.
• Coordination and Communication: Act as a liaison between Sales, Supply Chain, and Warehouse departments to ensure alignment on product availability, order fulfilment, and any potential supply chain disruptions.
• Wastage Control: Develop and implement procedures to track and control product wastage. Identify root causes of waste and propose solutions to minimize losses.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, demand forecasts, and wastage metrics to the Operations Manager. Utilize these reports to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance inventory management processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall effectiveness. Propose and implement best practices to streamline operations.
• Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, supply chain disruptions, or demand planning challenges promptly and effectively.
• Review order sheets submitted by Country Managers in coordination with BMs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with best practices in waste reduction and inventory optimization is a plus.
