Job Description

BettingJobs are working with a Dubai based business, they are very established in the industry operating multiple B2C brands including a betting exchange alongside their own B2B platform. They are searching for a Database Architect to join their team.Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and manage databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring availability, security, and scalability.
Handle Linux server administration, including Ubuntu and RedHat.
Execute security audits, data encryption, and data access controls to uphold data integrity and privacy standards.
Oversee cluster management, data retention, sharding, and optimise architecture for cost efficiency in cloud environments.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree, ideally in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
8-10 years of hands-on experience in Database Administration.
Proficiency in technologies including MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
Certifications in any of these technologies are advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
Knowledge of ETL processes, data modelling, and reporting tools.
Experience with AWS RDS and high-availability solutions.
