Data Modelling Lead

Job Description
Our client is looking to hire a highly technical Data Modelling Lead for their newly created data division. You\'ll oversee data acquisition, ensure quality control, and streamline distribution to fuel data-driven decision making across the organization.Responsibilities:
- Lead data strategy development, including data models for structured data.
- Collaborate with business and IT to define, refine, and implement data flows and models aligned with the enterprise architecture.
- Establish and enforce data modelling standards for consistency and compliance.
- Develop and own data models, collaborating with data engineers for implementation.
- Manage data governance tools and processes.
- Oversee data architecture and infrastructure, driving operational effectiveness and deeper insights.
- Proactively manage projects to enhance efficiency and reduce delivery risks.
- Master\'s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Math/Statistics).
- 15+ years of experience in Data Quality, Modelling, and Strategy (7+ years in a leadership role).
- 7+ years of experience in banking or financial services.
- Proven track record leading large data transformation programs in multi-national banks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Deep knowledge of data quality standards and best practices.
- Expertise in data lineage, modelling, architecture, and analytics.
- Expert knowledge in Datawarehouse architecture and development
- Proficient in data modelling tools (e.g., SAP PowerDesigner, ERWin)
- Fluency in English is essential (first language) for this role
