Nair Systems is currently looking for Data Engineer (SQL) for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions. Summary Seeking a Data Engineer / SQL Developer with 3-5 years of experience in advanced T-SQL scripting, database optimization, and performance tuning using Microsoft Azure SQL and SQL Server. Ideal candidate has a track record of maintaining high-performing databases, troubleshooting queries, and ensuring data reliability for business-critical systems. Key Responsibilities . Design, maintain, and optimize databases in Azure SQL and SQL Server . Write, refine, and troubleshoot advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions . Analyze execution plans, apply indexing strategies, and resolve performance bottlenecks . Verify query outputs by understanding business objectives and ensuring data accuracy . Manage backups, security configurations, and user access controls . Leverage Power BI for data analysis and reporting . Document database structures, configurations, and performance improvements thoroughly . Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting tools for proactive performance management . Implement security and compliance measures across database environments . Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless database integration . Use Git & Azure DevOps for version control, adhering to best practices Qualifications . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field . 3-5 years of SQL development experience with a strong focus on T-SQL and performance tuning . Proficiency in Azure SQL and SQL Server administration . Proven ability to debug and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and functions . Experience using Git for source control and team collaboration . Strong attention to detail and a commitment to thorough documentation . Basic reading and understanding of Arabic is preferred.
