Data Architect defines technical, security and data architecture for the entitys data landscape, creating blueprints for the data management system by analyzing the potential data sources
Work with the Section Head and the companys different departments to capture business requirements and define the data architecture at the conceptual and logical level
Work with the IT team to define the data tools required (e.g., MDM, Data Quality tool, etc.), and overlooks their implementation with relevant vendors
Build the right architecture to support the defined enterprise data model (EDM)
Design and work on building the integration mechanism and maintain internally and with external company
Own the definition and implementation of the company data architecture roadmap to support the data roadmap of the entity
Analyze new data sources, recommending changes to the current architecture if necessary
Monitor the architectures performance by running regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features
Ensure compliance with data architecture, standards, and guidelines
Define and implement the platforms Data Architecture to support the strategic and operational plans of the platform
Define the guidelines in producing conceptual and logical data architecture design across the platform
Oversee and monitor data management activities across the platform
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a data architect or proven experience in defining data models
Preferred degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation technique
Experience in relational database management systems, DBMS software, including SQL Server, database and cloud computing design, architectures and data lakes, Hadoop technologies like Pig, Hive and MapReduce
Experience in management of structured and unstructured data
Proven experience in creating a Big Data or analytics IT solution
Knowledge in agile methodologies and Enterprise Resource Planning implementation
