• We are seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst with expertise in SQL and experience in banking domain.
• A Data Analyst is responsible for data analysis (if possible, using Snowflake platform) to perform data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and analysis tasks.
• This role involves working with large volumes of data, ensuring data integrity, and providing insights that help the bank improve its services, offerings, manage risks, and meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers related to banking risk factors such as credit, market, and operational risks.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases and data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk Management, Finance, and Operations to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis solutions.
• Design and implement data visualization dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic initiatives and risk mitigation efforts.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in banking risk management to ensure compliance and enhance risk assessment processes.
• Provide domain expertise and guidance to stakeholders on data-related initiatives and recommend data-driven solutions to address business challenges and opportunities within the banking domain.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on data analysis and banking domain expertise.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and experience with programming languages such as Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex datasets to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Understanding of Snowflakes will be preferred.
