AG Resources is looking for Data Analyst / BI Analyst for our reputable client. Location: Abu Dhabi Duration: 12 months renewable contract Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in IT/Computer Science/ Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis and BI solutions.
  • Azure Certified (Data track) ex (dp-900, pl-200, DA-100).
  • Experience in Azure-based data platform mainly Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse
  • Experience in Power BI and Cogons.
Technical Skills.
  • Wide knowledge in Data Warehousing, and Data Modelling understanding.
  • Work with Azure-based data platform mainly Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse.
  • Experienced in Cloud Data Platforms (Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience in Visualization tools (Power BI Tableau, etc.).
  • Querying Data with Transact-SQL / ANSI SQL. /PySQL
  • Have extensive knowledge of DAX queries
  • Have extensive knowledge in Tabular Modelling
  • Managing request and stakeholder engagements
  • Evaluating and improving BI system
  • Understand the concept of CI/CD for BI development
  • Create and develop dashboards & reports, along with real time reports.
  • Visualize data, author reports, and schedule automated refresh of the reports.
  • Discover insights from the customer data.
  • Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
  • Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Visualize data using dashboards, author reports, and schedule automated refresh of the dataset using Power BI.
  • Identify, analyses, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Understand data modelling patterns such as star and snowflake schemas
  • Support data platform in troubleshooting issues, identifying, and revising reporting requirements.
Job Responsibilities: Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Responsible for identifying the needs and requirements of a business and translating them into clear and actionable requirements for the product development team. Works closely with stakeholders from various business units to understand their processes, systems, and workflows, and then documents these requirements in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assist in implementation of IT Applications and Systems department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
  • Work closely with product owners to meet business objectives and the needs of end-users
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
  • Design, implement, and maintain systems used to collect and analyse business intelligence data.
  • Evaluate new services and products to help with strategic decisions on new design and requirements
  • Create dashboards, databases, and other platforms that allow for efficient collection and evaluation of BI data.
  • Collects and stores data on sales numbers, market research, logistics, linguistics, or other behaviours.
  • Understanding the key concepts of data and business analysis knowledge areas; Planning and Monitoring, Collaboration, Requirement Life Cycle Management, Strategy Analysis, Requirements Analysis and Design Definition, Solution Evaluation.
  • Understanding and analyzing enterprise needs, problems and goals, devising strategies and performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes and producing useful business requirement documents.
  • Responsible for defining the scope of a project, documenting business rules, and communicating the requirements to the development team.
  • Natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful documents and reports.
  • Ensuring solutions developed meet business needs and requirements by participating in.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Always be on a lookout for ways to improve process, discover issues and deliver better value to customer.
  • Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
  • Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
  • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Providing a clean, accurate, and trustworthy dataset that can be utilized to develop and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in a scalable manner.
