Job Description

We are hiring for cyber security Operations- (both L1 & L2 task) Onsite Muscat. Experience : 8 Yrs. Work Location : Muscat, Oman. Notice Period : Max 30 Days. Skills required : - Minimum 7 years of total experience in Information Technology related experience, of which 5 years of experience in information and cyber security. - Working experience in cyber security Operations (both L1 & L2 task). - Working experience in industries like Oil & Gas, Energy and Utilities is preferable. - Analyses data related to the operational incidents. - Develop statistics and trends of incidents. - Propose preventive measures regarding the vulnerability of the systems. - Monitors and evaluate incidents frequency, including consequences. - Develop and maintain a database related to the systems operations. - Provide statistics, trends, qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess the operations system performance. - Conduct all RCA activities in order to identify the root cause and all the variables associated with incidents. - Assists with internal and external QA/QC audits by resolving basic issues identified in audits. - Support on the development and implementation of departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls, and continuously identify and recommend improvements while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities : - Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and events from various security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls). - Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. - Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner, including incident triage, investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery. - Perform L1 and L2 security operations tasks, such as : Handling security tickets and resolving basic security issues. - Monitoring security systems and responding to alerts.
