Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance activities in our Cut & Bend & Welded Wire Mesh plant. This role involves ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of production equipment, managing the preventive maintenance program, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and contributing to the overall improvement of plant equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
• Plan and execute routine preventive and predictive maintenance activities on wire mesh production equipment, including machines used for cutting, bending, and welding.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and ensure equipment is operating at peak efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and condition using diagnostic tools, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns. Troubleshooting & Repairs:
• Quickly diagnose mechanical, electrical, or control system faults and take corrective actions to minimize plant downtime.
• Perform timely and efficient repairs on machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to production processes.
• Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve issues impacting output quality or efficiency.
Maintenance Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Generate maintenance reports, track KPIs, and prepare documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
• Identify trends in equipment failures and recommend improvement actions.
• Machine & Equipment Optimization:
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new equipment and technology to improve plant operations.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement modifications or upgrades to enhance production efficiency.
Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure that all maintenance work complies with company safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Follow and promote safe work practices to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all plant personnel.
• Maintain an understanding of safety systems and ensure emergency procedures are followed in case of critical equipment failures.
Inventory Management:
• Monitor spare parts inventory and collaborate with procurement to ensure essential parts are available for maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of spare parts and tools in compliance with company policies.
Team Collaboration & Training:
• Work closely with the plant's operations team to minimize downtime and improve machine reliability.
• Provide training and technical support to junior maintenance staff and plant operators as needed.
• Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to improve plant-wide maintenance awareness.
Continuous Improvement:
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives by identifying areas for increased efficiency or reliability within the plant.
• Participate in regular reviews of equipment performance and suggest improvements to reduce operating costs and enhance productivity.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Alternatively, relevant certifications or equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, specifically in manufacturing environments with wire mesh production or similar industries (e.g., metalworking, fabrication).
• Hands-on experience with cutting, bending, and welding equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with machine maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
• Good communication skills and the ability to train or mentor junior staff.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED2,900.00 per month
